Introduction to
strength training

CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Starting a strength training program can be intimidating and overwhelming if you’re not sure how to do the exercises properly.
Let us help you understand the basics of strength training so you can confidently walk into any gym or strength class and know you can fully participate without getting hurt.
We’re going to start at the beginning and cover everything from posture and core strength basics, to the foundational movement patterns, to the components of an effective strength training program, and finally how to progress any strength training program. You’ll have the knowledge and skill you need to strength train safely for life!
Each class will include 45 minutes of instruction and 15 minutes of Q&A and an opportunity for feedback from Coach Alyssa.
Classes are held via Zoom, and you can choose whether or not to turn your video on.
At the end of each class, you’ll get homework to practice what you learned before your next class.
Don’t worry if you can’t attend every session, we’ll record each one and send it out to you within 48 hours after the class.
After your final class, you’ll get a 12-week strength training program that can be done at home or at a gym to keep you progressing.
